Kyle has been programming since the age of 5. He made a name for himself in the programming community after showcasing his ability to work with any framework, language and platform. After graduating with his Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Business Operations from Indiana University, he began working as a self-employed software engineer. He earned a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and shortly thereafter started Blocher Consulting in 2007. His company has tripled in size since opening and it continues to thrive across the Midwest. He speaks fluent Mandarin and lives in Champaign with his wife, Grace, and two young children.

Alex is the only non-developer employed at the company. Before coming to work for Blocher Consulting, he was a small business owner while also working as a manager for two small businesses in Bloomington Indiana. He received a Bachelor's in Management from Indiana University and is a certified Scrum Master. He takes care of everything from an operational standpoint - accounting, HR, administration; as well as managing software development projects. Jessica is a skilled professional writer. She earned her Bachelor’s at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and pursued journalism before coming to work at Blocher Consulting. She has covered the U.S. Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Centers for Disease Prevention and Control and Health and Human Services. Her work has also been featured on Make: Magazine. She is fluent in Spanish.

Alex is a skilled programmer with a love for data visualization, high-level design and continual learning. After earning his Bachelor’s in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he developed a passion for programming and artificial intelligence. Project highlights include high volume web scraping with parallel headless browsers and developing an anti-spam chat bot. He is fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in Spanish and Mandarin.

Tyson has a passion for learning and is interested in the theory of computation and discrete mathematics. His unique skillset helps contribute to the development of correct and efficient code. Tyson earned a Dual Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. He went on to also earn his Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research has appeared as six conference publications and will also appear in two book chapters. The places that Tyson presented his work include Google Madison and Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Center for Informatics in Germany. In his spare time, he enjoys editing Wikipedia and spending time with this wife and three young children.
Julian is a talented programmer who has worked with virtually every framework and language. He has done everything from back-end web development to programming for major research outlets, including KIST and Yale University. At Blocher Consulting, he serves in a fluid role that supports software development, IT and UI/UX design. He earned his Bachelor’s in Informatics with Computer Science Cognate from Indiana University.

Elijah Kohrt entered college at the age of 14 due to his exceptional academic performance. He is extremely gifted and has dedicated himself to pushing the boundaries of computer science. He studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and has worked on a number of high-level projects that depend on math and computer science theory to further push and develop current computing technology. When he isn’t working, he enjoys playing Go and watching anime.
